Upper Approximation of Non-additive Measures by k-additive Measures --- The Case of Belief Functions

Abstract

In this paper we give a general necessary condition for a non-additive measure to be dominated by a k-additive measure. The dominating measure is seen as a kinear transformation of the original measure. We investigate some algebraic properties of these transformations, and study the case of belief functions. non
